J-Drama | Just Watched: Last Cinderella (ラスト シンデレラ)

Hi everyone! While it may say "Just Watched" in the title, that is a LIE, because I am lazy, and snoozy, and actually watched this about three months ago and am only just getting around to writing about it. But, I have finally worked up the energy to write this little review, simply because this Jdorama is just beautiful, and lovely, and oof, Haruma Miura (∩◕▽◕∩)

Apologies for the Spanish subtitles, this was the only version of the opening I could find!

Toyoma Sakura (Shinohara Ryoko) is a 39 year old woman who's completely focused on her career, and is completely disinterested in finding love or getting married, much to the chagrin of her mother. However, as her 40th birthday approaches, she starts to feel more and more masculine, and worries about her ability to have children due to her age. When she's passed over for promotion yet again, to cheer her up one of her clients invites her to a goukon (合コン), a group blind date at a hotel, and with the persuasion of her friends she decides to attend.

At the goukon she meets Hiroto Saeki (Miura Haruma), a 24 year old pro BMX rider who helps her find her missing shoe, just like Cinderella! Watch as she stumbles through this new relationship with a much younger man, with the help of her friends who have problems of their own, this series shows new sides to love and different relationships ∩(❛ω❛#)∩

I absolutely loved watching this series! I thought it was really sweet and funny, I really enjoyed the friendships that the three main female characters had, and I was on the edge of my seat when a love triangle started to develop... I'll say no more ahahaha, just that if you want a really feel good Jdrama, this is absolutely ideal. I LOVED the ending, and am now obsessed with Miura Haruma, he is just absolutely delicious ahaha!

As of now, I use Last Cinderella as the measuring stick for all other dramas I've watched in terms of storyline and loveable characters, and so far no others have compared. Sorry for getting all mushy on you ahahaha, but this series is still No 1 in my mind, and is probably gonna stay my favourite for a loooooooong time ahahahaha o|。 ̄▽ ̄。|o

Have you watched Last Cinderella? What's your favourite Jdrama? Let me know in the comments!

Beauty | Geo Princess Mimi Sesame Grey (Bambi Series) Circle Lenses Review

Hello again lovelies! Happy Easter Sunday! ヽ(╹∀╹)ノ I hope you've all received lots of lovely Easter Eggs from the Easter Bunny |*・ω・|ノシ I've been meaning to get around to this blog post for FOREVERRR but there were some loss of images issues, but I found them again (obviously) tucked away on my computer. So here we go! This pair is the Sesame Grey edition of the Geo Princess Mimi Bambi Series I bought from Pinky Paradise during their Black Friday sale, and you can see my reviews of the Chocolate Brown and Apple Green versions by clicking the links.

Here's the ones I bought:

And here's how they look on:

And again - to me they look Green here instead of Grey ahaha

Size comparison with flash (why does my skin look so yucky ugh)

Finished look with makeup

Finished look (oh my god what is this face I'm pulling here I look so effing saaaaaaaaad)

Obligatory selfie in the bathroom on a night out.

Anddd at The 1975 gig with my favourite peach Ashleigh ლ|^ω^ლ|

As you might be able to tell, I wear these lenses quite a lot. They're the only pair of light coloured lenses that actually work for my darker irises, I tried out a pair of blue lenses before now, but they didn't work nearly quite as well as these!

I absolutely adore them, at the moment I'm favouring these as well as their Chocolate Brown counterpart for nights out and just generally whenever I leave the house (which isn't very often ahahaha), and they're incredible, really. They look gorgeous on, the enlargement is a solid 10/10, they're highly comfortable (although I would recommend that you use eye drops if you're planning for a full day's wear, as with any lenses they do dry your eyes out slightly), and even if you have dark eyes you can wear them no problemo; I think it's due to them having a slight brown inner ring that falls around the pupil, so if you have brown eyes they can easily blend in with the colour of the lens.

I would highly recommend them if you're after some gorgeously clear grey lenses that look good no matter what colour your eyes are, they give your eyes some superb pop quality to them, and look just gorgeous in general. Pinky Paradise are actually in the middle of their Easter sale, where they're offering an AMAZING 40% off several brands of lenses! Click the offer below for some amazing savings on some amazing lenses.

Have you bought any circle lenses recently? Did you take advantage of Pinky Paradise's Easter Promo? Let me know in the comments below! <|´・▽・`*|/

Beauty | Tonymoly Delight Tint in Red Review (Korean Cosmetics)

Whaddup my lovely followers! Soo, I'm reeeeeeeeeally sorry to those of you who actually follow my little blog, I got super caught up in something called extreme laziness and procrastination, apologies! I've had a bit of a rough and tumble in my personal life, including having my 23rd birthday (ouch) and also being made redundant, whoopsie.

But we're not here for that, happy belated one year anniversary to my blog (holy crap), and let's dive right back in shall we with a review of this super tantalising lip tint from Tonymoly that I bought on eBay, which you can buy here! ლ(◕ˇ∀ˇ◕ლ)

Available to buy here from the f2plus1 shop (10/10)

with flash

This Tint is a heck of a lot more than it would first let you believe in its name alone; this tint is ridiculously powerful in colour, and stains more than that time you spilt your spicy ramen all over your white dress. No? Just me? That was a bad day. RIP my ramen o(๑^Д^)ツ

Essentially, the colour payoff for this tint is off the charts, and as its fluid consistency is so thin, it spreads everywhere, so I didn't even dare try the common Korean way of wearing lip tints as it soaked the application brush and covered my lips instantly. In that respect, it did an amazing job, but I find there's no mid-point with this tint, you either don't use it, or go the whole hog with it as it's so rich in colour.

As you have all probably figured out by now, I love Tonymoly, and this insane colour payoff lip tint is yet another gorgeous make-up item of theirs that I've added to my ever growing collection of Korean cosmetics ╰|^▽^ | I will say though that unless you are much more proficient in the use of lip tints that I (which isn't hard), this isn't the one you want to try to create the ulzzang look you see the idols wear when they use tints. However, if you want an easy POW of colour that stains your lips with ease, then look no further than this guy! He is Delightful <(。´∀`。)/

Do you like lip tints? Have you tried any Tonymoly tints? Let me know in the comments below!

Beauty | Tonymoly Dear Me Petite Cotton Pact in Pink Beige Review (Korean Cosmetics)

Happy Valentine's Day! And welcome to yet another Korean cosmetics review! I hope you're not getting sick of me ahahahaha \(@ ̄∇ ̄@)/

Basically, as I've said before, I bought eight Tonymoly make-up items from eBay; an entire face worth of make-up minus brows, which is a shame but the only shade that suits my hair colour is a Dolly Wink eyebrow pencil I've had in my Watch List since foreverrr, and as I was on a Tonymoly binge I decided to buy this Tonymoly Dear Me Petite Cotton Pact in Pink Beige (updated link; original no longer available) instead. Definitely going to buy it soon though ahaha, I'm trying to grow my brows straight in the gal/k-idol style, but they are refusing to grow back. Oh, tangent, whoops!

Available to buy here (updated link; original from f2plus1 shop no longer available)

I'm quite gutted because I didn't take pictures before trying it out, and managed to erase the "Tonymoly" imprint that was on the powder within a few sweeps of my powder brush. Partly wasn't my fault though, as this powder is super loose! Very fine, and manages to get on my clothes more than on my brush or face ahaha (although I prefer that to a cakey powder!).

However, that would be my only complaint with it as it finishes my face perfectly! I tried to swatch it but it didn't even show up ahahaha, it's practically invisible but provides a gorgeous matte finish. I personally think that it's top quality, especially for the price, and the shade Pink Beige suits my skin down to the ground, plus they have a second darker shade called Natural Beige which will surely suit all you beauties who aren't ghostly like me ( 。-_-。) ahahahahaa

End of the day, this is my new go to powder, and I'd recommend it to anyone who loves a fine matte finish! Click here to buy (。・ω・。)ノ♡

Do you love Tonymoly? Have you tried this Pact? Let me know in the comments!

Beauty | Geo Princess Mimi Apple Green (Bambi Series) Circle Lenses Review

I've always wished I had green eyes. Having hazel eyes, I've always had the worst of both worlds in my opinion; instead of a bright emerald green, or a rich chocolate brown, I've got a half and half that looks like a paleish murky brown from a distance, and two rings when up close. Delightful ahahahaha. Nah, I don't really have a problem with my eye colour, I wish they were blue more than anything! Or one green and one blue, but I digress ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ

You'll see now how lazy and sick I've been, as I took these pictures when I first wore my pair of Apple Green Geo Princess Mimi lenses from their Bambi series, which was on New Year's Eve! Yikes. Ah well, I bought these bad boys from Pinky Paradise way back when they had their Black Friday sale, and here's my review now! Just two and a half months late, whoopsie.

These are the ones I bought:

And here's how they look on:

Size comparison without flash

Size comparison with flash

Full make-up

I looove them. They're a gorgeous rich green that appears quite dark on my eyes (as you can see in the non-flash pictures), which means that they don't look too out of the ordinary when I'm wearing them out at night, and I've yet to try wearing them out in the day time (I'm currently favouring the Sesame Grey versions from this series ahahaha, I've worn them quite a lot recently - stay tuned for my review on them!).

Fantastic size enlargement, and really comfortable! I've gotten into the habit of dousing my eyes with eye drops as soon as I first put them in to ease my eyes into getting used to the size, but it's rare I need to use them when I'm out or anything, unless I'm wearing them for a long time. If I'm wearing them for a whole day or night out (8ish hours or more), then my eyes will start to feel dry and a bit uncomfortable. But a couple of drops sort that right out 〜(^∇^〜)

Beauty | Tonymoly Panda's Dream Brightening Eye Base Review (Korean Cosmetics)

Hello all! Welcome to number 2 out of the 8 reviews of Korean make-up items I bought from eBay! This is the Tonymoly Panda's Dream Brightening Eye Base, and is designed to help lessen the appearance of dark circles, and make your eye area appear bright and healthy.

Available to buy here from beautynetkorea's eBay shop (I've bought from here often, 10/10!).

My Mum always told me to check foundation on the inside of your wrist as it's the palest part of your exposed skin, plus I'd already got swatches all over my hands in this picture ahahaha. As you can see, just one swipe of this Brightening Eye Base shows up quite clearly even on a very pale, shadowless area of my skin!

I'm seriously so impressed with this product, it's my go to base now, despite the fact that I bought a brand new primer just last month for nearly £20! Ugh, I digress ahahaha. I use it for everything, I'm surprised I've got any left and I've only had it a week ahahaha, although I must mention that there's a lot more in the tube than may appear, it goes down quite a way so you needn't fear running out any time soon ヾ(。・ω・。)

It works wonders on my awful deep purple dark eye shadows as its main function as a Brightening Eye Base, and it also works on blemishes, large pores, you name it! It's my new favourite multi-concealer, it does an amazing job on brightening up my eye area and more, plus it looks so darn cute, oh my god ლ(⌒▽⌒ლ)

I'd really recommend it to anyone, and especially if you suffer from particularly dark eye circles like me. Click here if you want to buy it yourself, you will not be disappointed!

Have you tried this Brightening Eye Base, or love the Panda's Dream collection or Tonymoly? I'd love to know! o((*^▽^*))o

Beauty | Tonymoly Cats Wink Shiny Skin Base - Clear Lavender Review (Korean Cosmetics)

I've been sick with sinusitis for about 15 days now, which is my excuse as to why I've not posted in forever. Happy February, everybody! The year's really kicking in already, I can't believe it ( ゚Д゚)<!! Well, basically before I got sick, I treated myself to quite a few Korean make-up items from eBay, and by quite a few, I mean eight! I went a bit nuts ahahaha, I went all out and bought every item I'd need for a full face of make-up.

Here's the review of my first item! Tonymoly's Cats Wink Shiny Skin Base (updated link; original no longer available) in Clear Lavender, which is the shade designed for yellow toned skin. I would have ideally liked to purchase the Clear Peach shade, which is supposed to be for all skin types, but it wasn't in stock, and I do have slightly yellow toned skin. So here it is!

You can buy another alternative here (updated link; original from f2plus1 shop no longer available)

I actually didn't blend it fully so that you could see the contrast between my actual skin tone versus with the skin base. You wouldn't have thought it from seeing it in the first two pictures on my hand, but when blended properly, it perfectly matches my skin tone. When I first applied it I thought my face was going to be a weird whiteish purple ahahaha, but it really did match up excellently. Given that I'm stupidly pale, this is me hitting the motherload! I never find make-up that suits my whiteness very well, so I'm mega pleased! o((*^▽^*))o

For my fellow pale blog readers, as well as those with a more yellow skin tone, the Clear Lavender is wonderful for skin tone correction! It evens it out all over and gives your face a dewy finish (which I then cover with powder as I much prefer a matte finish, I just always need a liquid base otherwise my skin dries out). It seems to be a lot more difficult to get a hold of the other two shades of this Cats Wink Shiny Skin Base, although if you used it sparingly I don't see why it wouldn't work for those who are more tanned than I, so I guess it could work for everyone! (ノ´ヮ´)ノ*:・゚✧

I really love it, my old Rimmel foundation has taken a backseat in my bathroom cabinets and this little baby now takes pride of place in my make-up bag. Check it out using the links below the original image :)

J-Drama | Just Watched: Watashi ga Renai Dekinai Riyuu (私が恋愛できない理由)

Recently I've started trying to delve a little deeper into what Japan has to offer in terms of good television, and thanks to my reading of Tofugu, I've stumbled across the existence of Japanese Dramas, otherwise known as J-Dramas/Jdramas or J-Doramas/Jdoramas, and even found one that comes highly recommended: Watashi ga Renai Dekinai Riyuu (私が恋愛できない理由), or The Reason I Can't Find My Love.

I knew it was only one series long, but I didn't realise that there were only ten episodes, and therefore found myself watching the last 20 minutes of it with this sudden realisation that it was about to end, which I was severely unprepared for. I'd completely fallen in love with the three main characters Emi Fujii (Karina Nose), Mako Hanazuma (Yuko Oshima who is actually a member of the Japanese girl group AKB48), and Saki Ogura (Yuriko Yoshitaka), and had managed to burn through all ten episodes of the show in about a day and a half (although that's nothing remarkable, that's just how I watch TV series) by accident, as I just couldn't get enough.

The storyline is very sweet, it's about three young women who knew each other from their school's drama club who wind up living together. Each one has their own unique trouble with love, and gain support, comfort, and the harsh truth about whatever situation they're in from the other two. One of the taglines is that "women's friendship is thinner than ham", meaning that as soon as a guy comes along the girl starts ignoring her friends because she's loved up, which these three manage to thankfully disprove. It's all about trying to get out of the "love desert", and trying to find love, but knowing that staying true to yourself and following your own dream is what's most important.

Given the fact that I'm not Japanese *cry*, there were definitely some cultural parts that aren't mirrored in England which threw me now and again, but I can't exactly nitpick them as what was going on was always easy to understand (with the subtitles on... har har). It's given me the Japanese Drama bug, although I've done a 180 in terms of genre and have started watching a Detective show which I'll probably do a review on once I've watched a few more episodes. I decided I couldn't watch another romance-themed one, as I'm still in mourning over the ending of The Reason I Can't Find My Love.

Do you like J-Dramas? Have you watched 私が恋愛できない理由?

Beauty | No7 Beautiful Skin Normal/Oily Skincare Review

So I went to London about two months ago now, and whilst I was there I decided to treat myself to a little skincare. All my life, I have been an avid avoider of skincare; in the past, the most I have ever used is a few Clearasil blackhead removers, etc., which just dried my skin so badly after a couple of uses that I simply couldn't use them again. Lo and behold, my skin is not the greatest. In fact, I get quite self-conscious of it.

As I associated all skincare with drying my skin out and having to suffer with embarrassing peeling skin on my nose mostly, I used to just slap on concealer and powder for years, then added in foundation when I finally found one that was pale enough to not make me look like an umpa lumpa (my skin tone is quite ghostly ahahaha). Essentially, I was just clogging up my skin every day, for years now, up until about six to nine months ago, when I started a medication that made me physically exhausted, so much so that putting make-up on in the mornings was just too much for me. Since then I've switched meds a few times, but each time I have to go through the tiredness all over again as my body adjusts to them, as tiredness has been a main side effect of each. Therefore, I have not actually worn make-up for a regular day at work for many, many months.

Due to this tiredness and inability to find the energy required to put on make-up in the mornings every day, I decided to take advantage of letting my skin breathe, and try to clear it up a bit. Hence, with a push from an offer at Boots for 2 for 3 items on No 7 skincare, I took the plunge and invested in their Normal/Oily Skin range (as my nose looks undesirably shiny sometimes, and my foundation melts off sometimes). I bought their Foaming Cleanser, Purifying Exfoliator, and the Day Cream, as even though I hate moisturising and all that, I wanted it as a backup in case these products dried out my skin.

You can find the Foaming Cleanser, Purifying Exfoliator, and Day Cream online and in store at Boots.

I do really like these products, after using mainly the cleanser morning and night with alterations of the exfoliator for several weeks, my skin was definitely a great deal clearer and smoother than it used to be. Whilst I did still get spots on occasion, the frequency of them cropping up lessened, and with continued use even a few of my blackheads disappeared and the rest appeared minimised and were less noticeable! (*゚▽゚*)

I'm still using these products as they are definitely helping my skin, but I think I'm going to be on the lookout for more blackhead-oriented skincare products, as they're what I'm most self-conscious of. Do you use or like No7 skincare products? Let me know what you think in the comments below (○^ω^)
